Most of the news this week coming out of Sheridan College was the $7.5 million that was approved by the Wyoming Legislature to construct a new Academic Center on campus. At Thursday night's Northern Wyoming Community College District Board meeting there was some news that didn't pertain to the funding allocation, but it did however center around future capital projects that the College is taking a look at.
College District Vice President for Development Susan Bigelow announced that at their meeting Thursday, the Sheridan College Foundation voted to give the College $100,000. Bigelow explains what the money will be used for.
Bigelow said that once they hire an architect, the next step for the Thorn-Rider Commons remodel is to have the architect develop remodel concepts and cost estimates. As for the Wyoming Culinary Institute, the College will explore the feasibility of expanding their current location on South Sheridan Avenue.
