Sheridan College Considers Strategic Plan

The Northern Wyoming Community College District Board of Trustees discussed an ambitious strategic plan for Sheridan College over the next 5 to 10 years during a work session on Friday. The plan calls for continued increases in student enrollments and facilities upgrades to match the needs of a larger student population. Sheridan College Interim President Jon Connolly says the College will need to avoid uncontrolled growth as recently seen with a 20 percent jump in enrollments this year.

How does the college plan for unexpected growth that is common with open enrollment policies?

The Sheridan College Foundation will play a key part in any capital campaigns required for facilities upgrades. Some of the planned improvements include providing on-campus housing for up to 700 students, as well as expansion of the Thorne-Rider Commons and Griffith Memorial Buildings.

There you go.With Sheridan college already wasting your property tax dollars, they've now stumbled onto a new genius scam to some how force an enrollment increase. So that in return they can waste even more money on needless building exspansion.

Then in the next breath the college is whining about 20% increases in enrollment, which they fail to mention is the result of vocational part time enrollment.Which in turn does nothing to support the need for the college to expand its housing, especially with a surplus of housing within the community of sheridan.

Why is not suprising that someone like Coucilman John Bigelows wife would be involved in this type of irresponsibility at the college.Which raises another question.Susan was one of the people arrested for not showing up to Jury duty in sheridan.Do you really want someone like that making decisions with your community college.
