Tuesday afternoon officials with Sheridan College held a meeting to update the comprehensive plan that was outlined in the college's strategic plan. The plan involves the largest single expansion of the college in its history. The cost of the plan is expected to be between $16 and $19 million.
Construction would include a combination of renovation of the Thorne-Rider Student Commons building and the Griffith Memorial Building and a new building that would connect the two aforementioned buildings. Sheridan College Interim President Dr. Jon Connolly.
Plans are for student housing to increase from 400 on campus beds to 700 over time. Fund raising for the plan would be done in four phases and would run through November 2011.
