Sheridan City Council Meets Tonight

The Sheridan City Council will meet for their second meeting in October tonight. The agenda itself is pretty light and includes Council consideration of a request to vacate alleys in the old Central Middle School property. Holy Name Catholic Church currently owns the land, and the alleys consist only of right-of-ways. Due to the location of the school buildings, alleys were never constructed in either block.

On another agenda item, City Councilor John Bigelow says the Council has been asked to alter the way the recently enacted Capital Facilities Tax is distributed.

The Council will also discuss an agreement with the Sheridan Area Water Supply Joint Powers Board. The agreement will allow work to begin, designing the clearwell expansion at the Big Goose Water Treatment plant.

The meeting will begin at 7:00 tonight at City Hall. There is a programming change for tonight, and you can hear the entire meeting live by going to 95.9 FM. We should have the program back on KWYO in November.
