Sheridan City Council Gets Financial Update

The Sheridan City Council meeting last night started with a presentation of the new Utilities Director for the City. Dan Miller will start his new duties next week as he is training this week.

City Treasurer Jennifer Reed gave the Council a snapshot of where the City is now that the first quarter of the 2010 budget is behind them. Reed says revenues are slightly below budget projections.

Mayor Kinskey says the City should be at or below budget on expenditures this year, as well.

Reed says there should be a more complete picture after the City audit is completed in December.

In other business, the Council passed two ordinances on final reading dealing with planned unit developments and infrastructure agreements. And the City is one step closer to vacating the alleys in the former Central Middle School property. Holy Name Church is the current owner and requested the vacation to facilitate development of the property. They have no firm plans at this time for the development.
