Last September the City of Sheridan in conjunction with Sheridan College and the WYO Theater submitted a grant application to the Wyoming Business Council for the expansion of the WYO Theater. Sheridan Mayor Dave Kinskey says that the grant application has been repackaged.

The initial application that was submitted was for over $3 million to renovate the WYO Theater and expand and renovate into the adjacent Hallmark and Perkins buildings to create the WYO Performing Arts Center.

That's Northern Wyoming Community College District Vice President for Development Susan Bigelow. The grant application will now be under two programs, the Community Facilities and Downtown Development programs through the Wyoming Business Council. Those two programs allow up to $2 million to be awarded.

Due to the President's Day holiday, the Sheridan City Council will meet tomorrow night at 7 pm in Council Chambers on the 3rd floor of City Hall. The meeting can also be heard live on AM 1410 KWYO.
