Sheridan Chamber Hosts Financial Seminar

Organizers of an upcoming business seminar are issuing a last call for sign-ups. Only a few seats remain for the “Profit Mastery” workshop planned for next week in Sheridan.

The cost is $195 and in addition to the two days of classes, includes a workbook, lunches and snacks. The workshop will be held Tuesday and Wednesday (Sept. 24-25) from 8-5 in the Forward Sheridan Boardroom on Double Eagle Drive. To register, call the chamber office. The number is posted at the end of this story.

The workshop is being presented by the Wyoming Entrepreneur – Small Business Development Center in partnership with the Sheridan County Chamber. Leading the workshop will be Director Bruce Morse of the University of Wyoming Small Business Development Center in Powell. He holds a bachelor's degree in finance and is certified by the National Development Council as an economic development finance professional.

Organizers say participants will learn how to understand important accounting principles like financial ratios, manage cash flow and increase revenues while maintaining a strong financial position. Students will also learn how seemingly non-financial decisions can affect cash flow and profitability.
