The Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce named its end of year award winners Wednesday at its December luncheon.
Cloud Peak Energy was awarded Business of the Year for its outreach in the Sheridan community. Chamber Executive Director Dixie Johnson said that they appreciated the way that Cloud Peak is involved in Sheridan even though it operates in Montana. Specifically, she thanked Cloud Peak representatives for their aid in flood relief efforts this past spring and with the Jaycees Christmas Shopping tour.
Business Person of the Year went to Rick and Roberta Young. The Youngs own the three lodges on the Big Horns. Volunteer of the Year was Judy Taylor who is also Chairwoman of the Stroll Committee. Rod Trahan was named Networker of the Year.
