The Northeast Wyoming Municipal leaders group, or NEWY, is comprised of leaders from 15 different municipalities throughout northeast Wyoming. The City of Sheridan has been working closely with Buffalo to schedule tours for the area to educate leaders from around the world and the country on mineral development in the northeast part of the state.
Buffalo Mayor Randy Dyess addressed the Sheridan City Council this week about having more councilors get involved in the group.
Sheridan Mayor Dave Kinskey stated that its time the two cities start working together for a common cause.
In May, the Sheridan City Council approved $10,000 from the one-cent contingency fund to help fund NEWY outreach programs.
