The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm watch in Sheridan, Campbell and Cook Counties, which is in effect until 10 p.m. tonight. Isolated to scattered thunderstorms are expected in southeast Montana and north-central Wyoming. Some storms may produce large hail and very heavy rainfall. Residents and travelers in the area should be alert for rapidly changing weather conditions.
Scott M. out in Story tells us at 4:20p.m. today 1.5 inch hailstones fell 12 miles southwest of Sheridan. He says vehicles and crops were damaged. The NWS updates will break into all regular programming so stay tuned to any of our stations for the latest on these developing conditions.
