The Sheridan Senior Center announced Friday that it has received a $50,000 Daniels Fund Operating Support Grant to help serve constituents through the Sheridan Senior Center.

Center Executive Director Carmen Rideout said in a media release that “the grant will enable us to serve more than 2,000 individuals with congregate and home delivered meals, outreach services, transportation, adult day care, information and referral assistance, case management, recreation and leisure, family caregiver respite and services, and senior volunteer services.”

This investment on behalf of the Foundation will help to meet the Sheridan Senior Center’s annual fundraising for services goal of $500,000 or 18% of the total Senior Center budget before fiscal year end on September 30, 2010.
