Coming up Thursday, April 28th, the Sheridan Senior Center will be hosting a first-ever fundraiser.
A committee of about twenty volunteers has been working for several months to put together the Senior Center Keystone Award Ceremony. Director of Development for the center, Rindy West, explains.
With the intention to make this award an annual honor, West tells us who the first recipients will be.
The event, which will be held at an elegantly transformed Sheridan County Exhibit Hall, begins at 6 pm on the 28th. It will include dinner and entertainment focused at each recipient, similar to how the Kennedy Center Honors are held each year.
Tickets are $75 per person. Proceeds from the Keystone Awards will go to support a vast array of services at the Sheridan Senior Center. Keep in mind that individuals in six communities located within Sheridan County benefit from these services. Services include Meals, Transportation, Family Caregiver Support, In-Home Services, Day Break, Activities and Volunteer Programming.
