A local senator provided details recently on how the state legislators will conduct business during the upcoming budget session.

News Director Leslie Stratmoen has the story.

Wyoming's senator Bruce Burns of Sheridan is preparing for the upcoming Legislative session.

He said he's heading to the state capitol in Cheyenne next Wednesday, but actually has a meeting today because he's a member of the Management Council. That's the body, he said, that governs the legislature, itself, as far as the operations and budget are concerned.

He said the council does not decide the topics during the session.

As the chairman of the Travel Recreation and Wildlife Committee, he'll be introducing a bill that would increase hunting license fees, to meet the increased expenses of the Wyoming Game and Fish Department. He said there has not been an increase in fees for the past six years.
