State Senator Dave Kinskey tendered his resignation as Mayor of the City of Sheridan Thursday. Sheridan Media's Ron Richter has the story.

For the past ten years, Dave Kinskey has been the mayor for the City of Sheridan. Following Thursday's special meeting of the City Council that included his resignation and the swearing in of new Mayor John Heath, I caught up with the new State Senator to get his reaction on his time as mayor.

Kinskey says that early next week he'll officially be sworn in as Senator for District 22.

Kinskey was selected to fill the District 22 senate seat left vacant by the death of Senator John Schiffer. Kinskey will serve the remainder of Schiffer's term, which is through 2016.
