Doctors from around the state have converged on Sheridan for the annual Wyoming Medical Society and Wyoming Association of Physicians Assistants meeting at the Holiday Inn.
U.S. Senator John Barrasso stopped by Sheridan Media Friday en route to the meeting, and expressed the importance of this year's event.
Senator Barrasso also commented on the recently passed Family Smoking Prevention and Tobacco Control Act.
The tobacco legislation will give the Food and Drug Administration the authority to regulate tobacco products. The bill has made it through both the House and the Senate and President Obama has said that he supports the legislation and will sign into law very soon.
