U.S. Senator John Barrasso expressed his concerns following a meeting with President Obama's pick for Associate Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court, Judge Sonia Sotomayor. Barrasso said that Judge Sotomayor has an extensive judicial career and an impressive background with more than 17 years on the federal bench.
Barrasso went on to say that it's imperative that we have a justice who will apply the law, not write the law.
The Senator said he still has concerns regarding her views involving the Second Amendment and issues similar to those raised in the New Haven firefighters case.
