U.S. Senator Mike Enzi responded to the President's State of the Union Address on Wednesday by saying the President, by in large, ignored some critical issues related to the economy and federal spending. He explains.
Senator Enzi states the President says he wants to enact budget reform legislation, but that he refuses to actually endorse legislation that chips away at the more than $1 trillion yearly federal deficit.
Enzi says in the President's speech he introduced programs he claims won't raise the deficit by a dime. But Enzi begs to differ.
Moving forward, Enzi says budgets and appropriations bills should be passed through the committee process to avoid having deals made behind closed doors.
