SEEDA: More Work on Lease and Development Agreement Needed

A special meeting was held Tuesday morning where the Sheridan Educational and Development Authority discussed revisions to the draft lease between SEEDA and First Light Inc. in regards to occupancy of the former Hand in Hand Childcare Center in Sheridan.

The draft lease stipulates that First Light pay $1,200 a month until they reach $45,000 that will go toward an endowment or maintenance fund for the building. The three entities that make up SEEDA will put in a total of $135,000 to reach the $180,000 that was outlined in the request for proposal for the facility. SEEDA Chairman Dr. Paul Young.

Over the next week Dr. Susan Bigelow and Robert Briggs will work with Clint Langer from First Light to finish putting together a development agreement that will work for everyone involved.

In order to get the lease and development agreements completely finished before the next regularly scheduled SEEDA meeting, the Board elected to change the date of their meeting from October 25th to Tuesday, November 1st.
