The Sheridan Educational and Economic Development Authority met earlier this week for their regularly scheduled board meeting. While the lease agreement with First Light Inc. as a tenant of the Hand in Hand Childcare Center in Sheridan was approved, the Board felt that a few more days of work on the operating agreement between the two entities were needed.
After a few tweaks to the verbiage of the agreement, the Board approved the operating agreement between First Light Inc. SEEDA Chairman Dr. Paul Young.
Young said that they've contacted the Business Council on whether First Light can begin moving into the building during the transition period.
There was also some discussion on what the name of the childcare center will be in the future. Instead of keeping the name of Hand in Hand, it was decided that the facility will be renamed to incorporate First Light into the name of the building. The goal is to have First Light completely moved in and operational by the first of the year.
