The trustees for the Sheridan Economic and Educational Development Authority Joint Powers Board agreed to appropriate $25,000 to hire consultants CAEL and Avalanche, who'll begin preliminary work on phase one of a Career and Technical Education Training Study commissioned by SEEDA. Robert Briggs, SEEDA Administrator explains further what the $25,000 will do.

Breaking up the study into two phases will also allow for Sheridan College and School District Two officials to work with the consultants prior to SEEDA finding out if their $50,000 grant application through the Wyoming Business Council is awarded. If the grant is awarded to SEEDA, they would then move forward with the consultants on the target industry phase of the study.

The three entities that make up SEEDA; Sheridan College; School District Two and the City of Sheridan have all given their approval of submitting the grant application, which will be done this week, as the submission deadline is December 1st.
