In May of this year, Gary Small and the Coyote' Brothers album “Hostiles and Renegades” won them a Native American Music Award for Best World Music. This past Sunday, the group based out of Sheridan, took home first place at the Wyoming Blues and Jazz Society's 3rd annual International Blues Challenge competition held in Casper.
Bands from all over the state competed in the competition and Small says that they were up against plenty of talented musicians.
Small explains that shortly after winning the competition, he was asked about what contributed to their impressive win.
Gary Small and the Coyote' Brothers will now be representing Wyoming at the Blues Foundation, International Blues Challenge in Memphis, Tennessee, January 21st through the 25th.
