CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - Authorities plan to analyze the harness and rope used by a climber who died after falling about 2,000 feet from a cliff during a thunderstorm in Grand Teton National Park. Searchers found the body of 21-year-old Brandon Oldenkamp, of Sanborn, Iowa on Thursday. His body has been taken to the Teton County coroner.

Authorities don't know whether Oldenkamp died from a lightning strike or the fall, but believe his death wasn't related to a mistake on his part.

Wednesday's thunderstorm unleashed multiple lightning strikes on the nearly 14,000-foot Grand Teton mountain. Park officials say 16 climbers rescued from the mountain suffered moderate or severe injuries from indirect electrical charges radiating from the lightning. The rescue was one of the largest conducted by the park's staff.

Brandon Oldenkamp was a student at Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa, where he would have been a senior this fall.
