SCSD#2 Incorporates New Technology Into the Classroom

Sheridan County School District #2 is piloting new technology in the classroom in hopes of preparing students for the computer-centered world that lies ahead. Junior High School Principal, Mitch Craft, presented information to the board of trustees last night about the school's plans to incorporate e-Textbooks into classroom activities.

Craft said aside from insisting on hands-on utilization of technology like iPads, he's hoping to provide students more freedom for self-directed learning.

The technological push within the district is slated to start up in the spring, when equipment and technical support are securely in place.
