Johnson County School District One Board of Trustees, at their Monday meeting, voted to keep the same officers on the board through 2014, and also volunteered for the various committees they will serve on in the coming year.
Renovations to make the entrance to Sheridan High School more secure began last summer as part of the first phase of a project that also included a new conference room and bathrooms for school staff, and upgrades to the school's computer, phone and fire alarm systems.
The first of two open houses hosted by the Wyoming Department of Transportation regarding the Lewis Street Bridge project in Sheridan was well attended, as a little over 30 people showed up to learn more about the project. The total construction cost of the project is estimated at $4 million.
