The Sheridan College Foundation announced Wednesday they received a pledge of $210,000 from the Homer A. and Mildred S. Scott Foundation to go specifically towards the school's Thorne-Rider Campus Center.
Debi Isakson with the Sheridan College Foundation explains the significance of the pledge.
The already existing Thorne-Rider facility that college officials say was built in 1966 will be demolished and rebuilt to accommodate a growing student population.
And Isakson says students can expect to see the new campus center unveiled next year.
The Scott Foundation is a private charitable foundation based in Sheridan that was established by area ranchers Homer and Mildred Scott in 1982.
