Scoping Meeting Held for Long Term Water Supply Study

Officials with the Wyoming Water Development Commission and EnTech, Inc, Professional Engineers hosted a public scoping meeting Wednesday to discuss details of an upcoming long term water supply study for the City of Sheridan and SAWS. The first phase of the study was conducted several years ago, and it indicated that the phase two study should focus on the feasibility of obtaining water from Park and Sawmill reservoirs. EnTech Project Manager Dave Engels.

Engels says that part of this study will be to assess both facilities.

A draft report is scheduled to be complete by the spring of 2013, with the final report to be submitted to the WWDC sometime in the fall of next year. If the report indicates that it is feasible to obtain water from Park and/or Sawmill reservoir, the WWDC would forward their recommendation for funding of the project onto the legislature for consideration during the 2014 session.
