Six area youth graduated from the Sheridan/Johnson County Opportunity Project for Education program Friday. The 13-week program is a collaboration between Sheridan College, the Department of Workforce Services, and other community foundations to provide training, internships, and sometimes even job certification to youth who are simultaneously earning their GED. Sarah Riehn, SCOPE Coordinator, was beaming with pride on graduation day. She explains more about the program. Youth between the ages of 16 and 21 who did not graduate high school are eligible to enroll in next year's program. For more information, contact Sarah at the college at 674-6446, ext. 2703. This year's SCOPE graduates are Dusty Crabtree, Turner Schroth, Kodie Luck, Mercedes Myers, Gus Schroth and Gabe Waddington.
