SCOPE Candidate Forum

SCOPE Candidate Forum

Two candidate forums are taking place in Sheridan this week, but they are not your typical forums. SCOPE Coordinator, Sarah Reihn

SCOPE, which is affiliated with Sheridan College, is a program with the purpose to “empower high-school dropouts between the ages of 16 and 21 to become self-sufficient through employment training, life-skills instruction, and GED preparation.”

Reihn says one of the surprising things for the SCOPE trainees is how much they can relate to many of the candidates:

The forums will be held from 10 to 11 am at the SCOPE training site located at the Sheridan VA Medical Center in Building #1. Today's panel includes Bob Rolston, Cliff Clevenger, Larry Durante, Alex Lee, and Melvin Krenzelok. The panel on Friday, October 8th will include former State Auditor candidate Bruce Brown and State Representative John Patton.
