Sheridan Community Land Trust announced Monday the protection of a donated conservation easement: the Headwaters of McCormick Creek, a ranch donated by Charlie Hart of the Big Horn area.

In a media release dated Monday January 16, it states that the easement is a key link for overall conservation in the Bighorn foothills area. Betzler explains.
The release states that Hart purchased the property in 1988 from long-time ranchers Cecil and Sheila Garber and has improved its productivity and wildlife habitat since that time. Hart credited the Garbers in his decision to protect the property.
