Sheridan College in Johnson County held a Gingerbread House decorating event at the Buffalo campus on December 1st, and collected more than 40 bags of items and $276 in cash donations for the Bread of Life Food Pantry in Buffalo.

Johnnie Pond from the Food Pantry picked up the bags of items and Derek Andrews, Director of SCJC, presented Pond with the $276 of monetary donations.

Andrews said he and Pond were pleasantly surprised by the generosity of the community.

According to information provided by the college, more than 200 kids from the community attended the event to create almost 80 gingerbread houses.
