Students and teachers in Sheridan County's three school districts are counting down the days until classes dismiss for the holidays, and the break will be longer for some than for others.
Students in District 2 will have the shortest break of about two weeks, from Dec. 23 until Jan. 3. District 2 includes schools in the city of Sheridan and Story Elementary.
Students in the county's other two school districts will get a near three week vacation from classes. District 1, which is Big Horn and Dayton/Ranchester, dismisses early on Dec. 19, and resumes classes on Jan. 6.
In District 3, which includes Clearmont/Arvada schools, classes will be dismissed at 1 on Dec. 20. The teachers will then be expected back on Jan. 6 for an in-service day, followed by the students the following day.
