The numbers are in from the first quarter of the 2010 fiscal year for Sheridan County School District 2. As of September 30th the District had spent nearly 13% of its budget and received 18% of the projected revenues for the year.
The business office also had a chance to review the 2009 fiscal year. Business Manager Roxie Taft says the District was very close to budget last year.
Nearly three-quarters of the annual budget is spent on instruction or instructional support. In fact the District spent over $12,000 per student during the year.
The State of Wyoming limits the amount of funds individual districts can have in reserve and District 2 currently has enough reserves to operate for 65 days if they should need to tap into those funds.
