Filing starts next month for candidates seeking positions on Sheridan County's three school boards, the college district and the Sheridan County Conservation District.
Applications will be accepted in the county elections office from Aug. 6 through Aug. 25. The elections office is on the second floor of the Sheridan County Courthouse addition.
Election Supervisor Brenda Kekich provided a breakdown of positions on the ballots this year. Sheridan County School Districts 1 and 3 each have two at-large trustees up for election. District 1 includes schools in Big Horn, Dayton and Ranchester. District 3 trustees administer schools in the Arvada/Clearmont area.
Sheridan County School District 2 residents will elect four at-large trustees this year. District 2 is schools in the city of Sheridan and Story Elementary.
Three at-large positions will be elected to the Northern Wyoming Community College District. Trustees administer Sheridan College and the Gillette and Johnson County campuses.
Voters will elect three directors to the Sheridan County Conservation District, including one at-large, one urban and one rural representative.
