Board Approves Home Schooling, Mileage Payment Requests

The school trustees of Johnson County School District One approved a number of requests, recently, regarding home schooling, isolation and employment.

In regard to home schooling, the board approved a curriculum for four children from three families that In regard to home schooling, the board approved a curriculum for four children from three families that was requested in compliance with the Wyoming Education Codes and Statutes.

In reference to isolation, two families requested isolation status, which means the district would reimburse them for transport to a bus stop or school. One family requested isolation for three students, one each in grades 6, 7 and 8, for 16 total miles.

The other requested isolation for two students, one in fourth grade and the other in first, for a near 30 total miles. Parents can request isolation payments if there is no bus service to their homes. The parents are responsible for the first two miles going to and from the stops.

The approved employment recommendation was for Cyndi Robinson, as a full-time custodian at Kaycee School, replacing Gloria Forbes.
