Uranium One, one of the world's largest publicly traded uranium producers based in Casper, presented a $50,000 check to the Sheridan College Foundation Wednesday.
The gift will allow for the purchase of a new set of biological microscopes and help with the cost of a geologic microscope.
The new microscopes will be located in the new Edward A. Whitney Academic Center in the Uranium One Analytics Lab. Uranium One Senior Vice President Donna Wichers.
Wichers explains how the $50,000 donation for the microscopes was initiated.
Sheridan College is expected to break ground on the 53,000 square foot academic center sometime next month.
