In 2010, the City of Sheridan hired the consulting firm of AECOM to develop the Sheridan Scenic character Plan. The plan is intended to preserve the scenic qualities of living in Sheridan. In December of last year, the consultants interviewed key stakeholders to get a better understanding of community preferences. The first public workshop was held in January, where attendees had an opportunity to prioritize their most important visual amenities in the community.
Monday night the Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce hosted the latest public workshop on the plan. AECOM Senior Planner Cameron Gloss says that after a couple of more workshops on Tuesday, they will begin work on a draft plan.
Gloss said that there will be a couple of more workshops Tuesday, one at the Sheridan Senior Center at 12:30 pm, and one with the Big Horn Home Builders Association at 7 pm.
