The Sheridan City Council approved adoption of the Scenic Character Plan at their meeting Monday night. Phase one of the plan centered around shifting the administrative review process to City staff which in turn meant the end of the Design Review Board. City Planning Director Robert Briggs.
Current City ordinance does not allow for telecommunication towers to be built in entryway corridors. The Scenic Character Plan will create a set of design standards that would allow for certain types of cell towers within entryway corridors.
Briggs stated to the Council that the consultants are currently working on ordinance revisions and that those modifications will probably come before City Council in either February or March of next year.
