On the January 31st edition of Public Pulse, climate change was a major topic of discussion. Tom Johannesmeyer is the Geology instructor at Sheridan College, and he says

it's the cooling of the planet that is cause for concern, not warming.

The Roman warming period followed by the swift cold period ushered in the Dark Ages, a time of political and economic ruin globally.

He says that climate fluctuations have been occurring in cycles, leading into our current warming trend, based on solar magnetic changes. But what about the proponents of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere as the cause of the current change?

Johannesmeyer adds that proponents claim of CO2 being “off the charts” causing the warming trend is false. In fact, he says, the levels are lower than they have been historically.
