Back in the mid-90s, a stranger stopped by the Sheridan College Science Museum and donated a petrified pine cone. Today, the hunt for the benevolent donor is being resumed by Sheila Flynn, a volunteer at the museum.
She said the fossil was donated to her husband, Mike, when he was teaching geology at Sheridan College.
The Flynns are looking for the mysterious donor because they have new information that suggests the artifact is quite unique and meaningful.
Anyone with information about the described item should contact the Sheridan College Science Museum at 674-6446, extension 3100.
