Members of the Sheridan Area Water Supply board, along with notable city government officials and project coordinators, paid a visit to the Big Goose Water Treatment Plant to witness the walls of the county's new Clearwell go up. Davis Bain, Northwest Regional Manager for DN Tanks, based out of Billings, explains more about this unique project.
Current storage capabilities of the plant are sufficient at half a million gallons, but the new vesicle will allow water to be exposed to treatment for a longer period of time and give the treatment plant some breathing room when it comes to production. When finished, this massive vat will triple the facility's storage capacity. Sheridan County commissioner, Steve Maier.
The inside wall diameter of the tank will be 102 feet and hold 1.5 million gallons of treated water.
