The Sheridan Area Water Supply Joint Powers Board approved to have a Cost of Service Analysis performed by Stepwise Utility Advisors. SAWS Joint Powers Board Member Steve Maier says that the last time SAWS looked at adjusting rates, it was strung out over a three to four year period.
Maier stated that by approving the rate study, it assures that SAWS will be more efficient next time they address a rate adjustment.
The agreement with Stepwise will provide a financial plan and cost of service study that will cover a five year period. The study that was approved will cost SAWS $23,445.
