Every year the Wyoming Game and Fish Department designates one day a year as their annual Free Fishing Day in the state. That day is Saturday, June 1st. Sheridan Region Game and Fish Information Specialist Warren Mischke.
There are a couple of exceptions to the Free Fishing Day in Wyoming, as it does not pertain to waters in Yellowstone National Park and the Wind River Indian Reservation. All fishing regulations still apply, such as creel and size limits, gear restrictions, fishing hours, and stream closures.
