This Saturday evening, March 5th will be the Sheridan Salvation Army's annual dinner and night to honor eight “Unsung Heroes” of the community.
Captain David Leonard tells us why those nominated were selected and who the nominees are.
Nicole Christensen serves on the Salvation Army's Advisory Board, and she gives us the details for the dinner, to which the public is invited.
Dinner is prime rib, vegetable, salad and dessert. Entertainment will be provided by Dr. Bisbee and the Salvation Army Brass.
Captain Leonard indicates that there has been a slight shift in the focus of the annual event
A highlight is a visit from Commissioner James Knaggs, who is the Territorial Commander for the thirteen western states. Only three Territorial Commanders have visited Sheridan, and this will be Commissioner Knaggs' first visit to the Intermountain Division.
Again, the reception begins at 5:30, dinner starts at 6, followed by the program. Tickets are $50 per person and are available at the Sugarland branch of First Interstate Bank, the Salvation Army office, or at The Sheridan Press office, co-sponsor of the evening.
