The Sagebrush Community Art Center is hosting two sessions of summer art workshops for children and adults alike. The first session starts July 16, with daily two-hour classes for five days. The workshop is broken into three age categories: third to seventh grade, eight to twelfth grades, and adults. Younger students will focus on hands-on projects like skull painting, mosaic making, and jewelry. Acting director of the center, Edre Maier explains why they're hosting childrens' art courses.
Youth classes will be in the early and late afternoon, while adult classes will be from 5:30-8:30 each day. The first adult session will cover painting with oils, while the second session will go over the use of watercolors. Registration fees range from $25 to $50, and registration forms can be picked up at the Sagebrush Community Art Center at the corner of 5th and Broadway by July 2.
