The Northeast Wyoming Sage Grouse Working Group will meet in Gillette in March to discuss the conservation of the bird and its habitat. The group will meet at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 13 in Room 208 of Gillette College.
According to Game and Fish Information Specialist Warren Mischke, the working group is made up of fourteen local citizens that represent groups interested in sage grouse conservation. He says the stated role of the group is to develop and initiate a local conservation plan to benefit sage grouse, and when feasible, other species that use the same sagebrush habitats.
Members of the public are invited to attend the meeting. Again, the meeting will take place on March 13 at 9:30 a.m. in Room 208 of Gillette College located at 300 W. Sinclair Street in Gillette.
