The leading cause of death and disability for children ages one to fourteen, is unintentional childhood injury. Saturday at the Junior High in Sheridan, a Safe Kids Day Fair was held to help educate parents and children how to be safer in all their childhood activities.
Danielle Bowers, the Safe Kids Coordinator for Sheridan County tells us what the Safe Day Fair focused on.
Bowers works in Pediatrics at the hospital and has seen the tragic results of unsafe practices and doesn't want to see any child suffer because of those unsafe activities, but kids will be kids.
Rob Milne was there with his wife and four children. For him it was all about tapping into the resources we have here.
In addition to the fun, interactive booths, kids had the opportunity to win a bike, bike helmets, or discounted memberships to the “Y.”
