A community-wide event will be taking place in Sheridan on Saturday, showcasing the trail system and various parks within the city. Michelle Fritz, executive director of the Wellness Council for Sheridan County, explains what the Park2Park Run/Bike/Stroll is all about.
The event sponsored by the Sheridan Recreation District, Sheridan Parks Division staff and Fritz's wellness council, is designed to raise awareness of the many parks and trails the City of Sheridan has been working on, while promoting healthy and fun outdoor activities.
Parks maintenance supervisor for the City, Steve Gage, breaks down the routes and some of the activities going on at the massive June 8 event.
Pure Energy Fitness will be putting on an obstacle course just for adults at Washington Park. But there's also an obstacle course for the kids at Thorne Rider Park.
Registration for Park2Park will take place at South Park at 8 a.m., with the event kicking off at 8:30. And don't forget, if you get tired during the run, the trolley can take you back to South Park to enjoy free snacks at 10:30.
