The Wyoming Highway Patrol confirmed Friday that a rollover that occurred on I-25 16 miles north of Kaycee killed one and injured three others. The one vehicle accident took place late Thursday night as the SUV was southbound on I-25 in the right lane when a deer ran out in front of the vehicle causing the driver to over-correct and eventually roll two and a half times before coming to rest on its top.
During the rollover, two unrestrained occupants located in the 2nd row of the vehicle, Diana Sounding Sides, age 22, of Ft. Washakie, WY and Frank Hogan, age 30, of Ft. Washakie, WY were ejected. The driver, Edward Wadda, age 54 died at the scene of the crash. A third passenger, Mary Sounding Sides was wearing a seatbelt and suffered minor injuries.
Frank Hogan was taken to Wyoming Medical Center and Diana Sounding Sides was taken to Billings, MT. The type of injuries are unknown at this time.
