The Wyoming State Legislature's Joint Revenue Interim Committee will be meeting in Buffalo over the next two days to discuss a number of issues, from wind taxation to taxation of agricultural lands and subdivisions.
The committee will address wind taxation and the direct cost ratio Thursday morning, and will review current taxation policies of ag lands and subdivisions that afternoon before adjourning for a tour of the Sand Creek Ranch north of Buffalo.
John Jenkins, with Sand Creek Ranch Preservation, LLC, explains why the committee members are touring the ranch.
The committee will finish their meetings Friday morning with a discussion of the taxation of ag lands and subdivisions and other business not addressed on Thursday. They will adjourn at noon. The meetings will be at the Hampton Inn in Buffalo beginning at 8:30 am both days.
