State Representative for District 30 Jon Botten co-sponsored a couple pieces of legislation that will go a long way in helping the State's economy for years to come. Sheridan Media's Ron Richter has part two in a series with the representative.

The Film Incentive Bill, known as Fifi, was renewed through 2016 during the latest legislative session in Cheyenne. The legislation was first introduced four years ago by Representative Rosie Berger to offer film companies incentives for shooting their films in Wyoming. Representative Jon Botten co-sponsored the renewal of the bill, which didn't happen as easily as he anticipated.

A film company that shoots in Wyoming and spends over $200,000, can possibly receive a rebate of anywhere from 12 to 15%. Botten also co-sponsored legislation amending the Fair Equipment Practices Act that now protects dealers of off-road vehicles and snowmobiles.

Now that Representative Botten has a session under his belt, we'll tell you Wednesday in the final part of our series how he'll approach his next legislative session.
